The Holy Cross Parish at Disobai
The Holy Cross Parish at Disobai was established in the year 2006. This was a long cherished desire of the people of this locality. Opening of this mission in Disobai has certainly brought many more people to God and it is a new step to progress and development in this part of the region.  There are 5 villages with a Catholic population of about 1008. The parish centre is forty Kilometers away from the diocesan head quarters at Diphu. The Catholic community of the Parish consists mainly of the Karbis. Another major portion is the Garos. It is a thickly populated area.

The Parish has begun a primary school namely Holy Cross which will be a great help to the people living in this area. Rev. Fr. Johnson Mullenchirayil was the first parish priest of Disobai. Fr. Augustus Barla is the present priest he, with the help one head catechist and 17 village catechists are carrying out the different activities of the parish.
